Match Pewter
features the finest pewter furnishings handmade by artisans in the north
of Italy. Since 3000 BC pewter has been used to make functional and decorative
objects for the home. Today Match continues this ancient tradition using
methods that have been passed down through generations of Italian artisans.
The hallmarks on each piece reflect the signatures of their skilled hands
and stand as a testament to the timeless values of craft and authorship.
The classic forms harmonize with both traditional and modern settings. Match
Pewter is made with an alloy that is food safe, lead-free, FDA approved
and requires little or no care.
Match Convivio Tableware is dishwasher safe. When using a dishwasher, Match recommends a low heat setting with a liquid dishwasher soap. Please do not wash any pewter in the extreme temperatures of a commercial dishwasher. As with any metal, if you have hard water (water with a high mineral content) Match does not recommend using a dishwasher, as elements that may be present in the water could possibly discolor or cause pitting of your pewter.
